How the 0-100% condition match works
The saved latitude and longitude choose the local forecast grid, sunrise and sunset, regional rut timing, and 10-year temperature history. GPS-collar research informs the biological-season and dawn/dusk movement weights. The model combines those inputs with the selected location's seasonal habitat details, scores all 24 one-hour windows, and summarizes the three strongest local daylight planning hours into each day's percentage. The weights are: rut stage 30%, dawn/dusk timing 25%, temperature 15%, seasonal location fit 11%, precipitation 6%, wind 5%, pressure 3%, moon 3%, and cloud cover 2%. Temperature compares the forecast-day average with the preceding three days and with the 10-year average for that calendar date. Severe rain, wind, and heat can cap the final percentage.
This is a condition-match percentage, not a guaranteed probability of seeing or harvesting a deer. GPS identifies the place being forecast; it does not track the animal unless you have entered that deer's sightings and locations.
Days 8-14 use longer-range weather guidance and are naturally less certain. Movement conditions are not the same as harvest odds: habitat, food, cover, access, scent, hunting pressure, local laws and each individual deer still matter.
