14-day deer movement forecast
Each day is rated 1-10 from general movement conditions. This forecast does not use this deer's sighting history.
How the 1-10 rating works
The model scores all 24 one-hour windows, then summarizes the three strongest local daylight planning hours into each day's rating. The weights are: rut stage 30%, temperature 22%, dawn/dusk timing 20%, pressure systems 12%, precipitation 6%, wind 5%, moon 3%, and cloud cover 2%. Dawn and dusk receive the maximum timing rating because tagged bucks show strong movement peaks near sunrise and sunset. Temperature is judged mainly against the seasonal average at this location: above-average warmth suppresses daytime movement, while cooler weather and cold fronts can improve it.
Days 8-14 use longer-range weather guidance and are naturally less certain. Movement conditions are not the same as harvest odds: habitat, food, cover, access, scent, hunting pressure, local laws and each individual deer still matter.
